Inside the blacksmith shop at Los Encinos State Park. Open the 3rd Sunday of the month. Come see the anvil, sharpening wheel, coal fire, and assorted goodies. This pic taken with both arms through the iron gate similar to the window in the center.

Nice shot! I love those places where people can see how our ancestors worked (and even nowadays some people work like that). Especially for kids it's hard to believe. Where is the big fire place here?

It's not big. It's just a small little stove (or hearth) to the left of the window. It's kind of hard to see.

Great shop. My nephew is an archeologist and blacksmith and has been building his own shop for a couple of years. He would love to be let loose here, me too.
